To accelerate growth, we are looking for a hands-on digital marketing professional to join our team. At Waylay, we strongly believe in content marketing as a means to demonstrate expertise and attract qualified customer and partner leads. You will be responsible for defining, executing, following up and reporting across the whole spectrum of content marketing tools and strategies. This includes content creation, social media, SEO, analysis of analytics data, etc.

You are willing to engage on the long term and be part of the growth of Waylay.


Responsibilities

  • You are responsible for the Waylay content marketing strategy, implementation, follow-up and reporting.
  • You create web content, blog posts, email messages, research papers, white papers, case studies, email marketing campaigns, webinar programs, social media content and/or other publications as required.
  • You ensure traffic is driven to content assets by leveraging landing pages, search engine optimization, etc.
  • You follow-up and report on the results of this content marketing strategy and formulate suitable advice and recommendations for improvement.
  • You have knowledge of how to leverage social networks to nurture current prospects.
  • You have lots of energy and get excited by being a revenue champion for the organization
  • You keep your knowledge of the digital industry and changes within inbound marketing up to date and relevant by networking/researching/attending fairs/ reading blogs, and news sources.
  • You initiate and carry out objective testing of tools, resources and techniques.
  • You work closely with business development, sales and the Waylay management team.
  • You develop a strong understanding of the products, competition, industry, marketing goals and objectives
  • You help to analyse and segment CRM data.

Skills and experience
  • A minimum of two years B2B content marketing experience within different industries. Prior experience in a startup is a bonus.
  • You have experience in developing a content marketing strategy including blogging, white papers, case studies, webcasts, social media (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Slideshare, etc), video, podcasts.
  • You have excellent content creation and writing skills.
  • You have time management and planning skills and are able to split your time between many inbound marketing activities to maximize the value add to Waylay.
  • You understand how Google ranks pages and are a proficient user of Google Analytics and similar tools.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • You have a willingness to learn about Waylay’s offering, the market, competitors, etc.
  • You value teamwork and accountability.
  • Analytical, with a proven ability to interpret large amounts of information, news, data and research quickly – and distil the most important/relevant information for intelligent strategic development
  • Self-starter with a positive outlook

To accelerate growth, we are looking for a hands-on business development manager to join our team. As IoT is the game of ecosystems, you will be responsible for setting up partnerships with other stakeholders in the IoT ecosystem in order to ensure the growth of Waylay through co-marketing, co-selling and reselling opportunities. You will be responsible for contacting partners, discovering and formulating a joint value proposition, closing cooperation contracts and coordinating with sales such that these actions lead to commercial success. You are willing to engage on the long term and be part of the growth of the company.

  • You travel for in-person meetings with partners and build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships. This includes short business trips abroad.

What you should bring to the table

  • Devoted to developing rock solid backend services and apps, so you can sleep well the night before launch
  • Solid foundation in modern application development on the JVM, preferably Scala and not afraid to wander into other territories like node.js, ruby or front-end development
  • You know how to build distributed applications and can take care of deployment
  • You value writing well-tested code
  • Modelled, developed and optimized on various database systems (mongoDB, elasticsearch, cassandra, influxDB, SQL …)
  • Knowledge of spark, flink, storm, R or other data mining techniques is a big plus

What you should bring to the table

  • A solid understanding of the JavaScript language, HTML5 and CSS3
  • A passion for creating experiences that users will rave about
  • Proficiency developing well structured web applications using modern JavaScript tools like React, Browserify, Angular, etc.
  • Familiarity with testing and automation frameworks
