Waylay is a leading IoT platform provider with a proven track record in the Industry 4.0 era and we have recently launched our new Self-Service PaaS offering. We are growing fast and so is our Self-Service PaaS community. To accelerate our growth and streamline our community efforts, we are looking for a Community Marketing Specialist to join our team.

As the Community Marketing Specialist, you will be part of a dynamic team in the middle of an ever changing industry. To be successful in this role you will need to be creative, technically savvy and have a keen interest in the IoT and software industry. You will conceptualize, plan and execute to create, grow and nurture a vibrant community and you come up with creative ideas to deliver a high-quality experience for our global audience. 

Responsibilities

  • You grow and nurture our Self Service SaaS developer community
  • You bridge between the Waylay development team and the user community 
  • You oversee the creation of all community marketing material
  • You create content and polish and publish developers content
  • You create marketing assets (videos, presentation material, graphics, banners, brochures etc) and you will be responsible for alignment with our overall community branding look & feel
  • You will organize and coordinate our events, whether virtual, physical or hybrid
  • You maintain and extend our marketing automation workflows, across multiple technologies and tools
  • You post-process and edit video content and help maintain our video marketing channels
  • You maintain our community’s web environment, you help maintain the website and ensure all tools in the environment are running at peak efficiency
  • You keep all digital channels thriving and vibrant, you master Social Media
  • You keep up to date with emerging marketing tactics and tools and come-up with ideas to improve our marketing
  • You compile monthly analytics/reports and love marketing KPIs and dashboards
  • You also work directly with other members of the marketing team to support the other business units within Waylay and you will assist with day-to-day marketing operations whenever required

Skills & experiences

  • At least 5 years of hands-on marketing experience, ideally in a SaaS company, with a solid understanding of general and digital marketing principles and practices
  • At least 3 years experience in community marketing, in SaaS/PaaS – we want you to hit the ground running
  • Social connector and in the center of our community, you know everyone and everyone knows you
  • Excellent project manager and able to work and connect with all stakeholders
  • Highly organized and with the ability to independently take on multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a clear sense of priorities and targets
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a positive outlook and a proactive, go-getter attitude
  • Genuine interest in IoT software and willingness to learn about Waylay’s products, customer markets, competitors, etc.
  • Expert in digital marketing and SoMe with growth hacking DNA
  • Experience with marketing technology stacks and/or high interest in marketing automation and a desire to learn new marketing software (Zapier, Drip, Leadfeeder, WordPress, Google Analytics etc.)
  • Experience with design software for creating marketing visual content such as banners, diagrams, infographics etc. and video content
