To help the company expand our customer base, we are taking the next step to hire a highly creative & talented person. Waylay is looking for an experienced high-tech enterprise Software sales executive that can sell Waylay into top named accounts. 

At Waylay, we are self-starters by nature and would expect you to be the same. You will be responsible for executing the sales action plan, engaging with customers from the initial lead to close.

You will report directly to the President of Enterprise Platforms.

Responsibilities

  • You are responsible for direct sales of the Waylay products to newly named corporate accounts in EMEA, in time building a sustainable team of like-minded sales professionals.
  • You develop and execute a strategic plan to achieve sales targets and to expand rapidly our customer base. You own and hit/exceed annual sales targets within assigned territory and accounts.
  • You will need the skills to craft compelling value propositions that drive business for both the client & Waylay. You will live in our world of “consultative selling”. You’ll be instrumental in exploring opportunities with new top tier clients. In order to properly do so, you’ll need to understand the business challenges (blue chip) companies have and are able to navigate complex technical organizations.
  • You will engage with the right internal company resources to achieve your goals, whether it’s Marketing, pre-and post-sales, business operations, senior leadership, or one of the founders to open doors.

Skills & experiences

  • Five to ten years of sales experience with high-tech enterprise software products. You excel in strategic consultative selling in large corporate accounts.
  • You are a hunter by nature, and you have closed multiple enterprise SW contracts with net new customers worth >1 Million euros.
  • Results-oriented; a proven track record of exceeding targets and overachieving
  • You have an extensive network of corporate accounts in the following domains: manufacturing, industrial automation, equipment builders and OEMs, and related ecosystem companies. You have access to business unit managers, Chief Digital Officers, CxOs, VP of product, etc.
  • Preferably experienced in one of the following: Cloud technologies, AI analytics, IoT, and workflow automation
  • You are multilingual (English and German preferred).
  • You have a demonstrated ability to communicate, present, speak, and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • You value teamwork and accountability.

Location

In the post-COVID era, where working remotely becomes the norm, this role is open for European Citizens with the ability and willingness to travel within EMEA
